Mrs. Mary Esther Baldwin Slade January 16, 1928 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card BURLINGTON- Mrs. Mary Esther Baldwin Slade, 91, of 1987 Hilton Road, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Alamance Health Care Center. Born in Chatham County, she was the daughter of Hosea Dallas Baldwin and Maybelle Baldwin, both deceased. In addition to his parents Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Baldwin, and Myrtle Fuller; three brothers, Charles Baldwin, Hal Baldwin and Wallace Baldwin.

Mrs. Slade is survived by a daughter, Helen Slade of Burlington; six sons, Larry Slade, Pete Slade, Bobby Slade, Darrell Slade, Louie Few and Jerry Slade, all of Burlington; one brother, Larry Baldwin (Lorie) of Haw River; three sisters, Pearl Troxler, Virginia Baldwin and Christine Hunter, all of Burlington; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Slade’s homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Alamance Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Her public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 1:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the Slade Family. Online condolences can be made at alamancefuneralservice.org.
