Mary Frances Harris June 04, 1935 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mary Frances Harris, 83, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center in Lee’s Summit. Mary was born on June 4, 1935, in Macon, MO, the daughter of Raphael “Ralph” and Nellie Ann (Smith) Croarkin. She was united in marriage to Jose’ Felton Harris Jr. on March 7, 1959, in Kansas City, KS.

Mary Loved her family and she loved the Lord and to show that love she joined the Jamison Temple Church in Kansas City, MO, under Rev David Bryant and Rev Dr. Faith Allen. She Loved to worship and fellowship with the saints. Mary was a faithful member, even when her health failed and she could no longer attend the Church services, Mary continued to talk about the goodness of the Lord until He called her home.

Mary enjoyed bingo, travelling, going out to eat, and especially spending time with her family. Mary is survived by four daughters, Toni Terry and her husband Tim of Raytown, MO, Tina Fowler and her husband Floyd, Teri Harris Lee, Tracy Harris Allen and her husband Eric, all of Kansas City, MO, eleven grandchildren, Toni LaTrece Williams (Mareese), Arvenus Penn III, Toya Brown (Steve), Nicole Champ (Baron), Oriana Lee, Ashli Harris Allen, Tierra Terry, Erica Harris Allen, Timothy Terry Jr., Tiana Harris & Jamall Jose Fowler, twenty-two great grandchildren and two more on the way, one brother Charles R. Croarkin of Warrensburg, MO, and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her stepfather Ralph Ayer, one infant daughter, Marynell Harris, one great granddaughter, Riley Thomas, one brother, Eugene Joseph Croarkin Sr., and two sisters, Betty Lorenz and Thelma Hinman.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, February 14th, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Rev. Dr. Faith Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Macon, MO.

Visitation will be from noon–1:00 pm, on Thursday. The Family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Foundation.
