Mary Louise Haug, 91, of tonville died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Pine Valley Community Village. She was born on April 8, 1927 in Richland Center the daughter of Avolt and Beulah (Sharp) Bethke. On August 2, 1945 Mary was united in married to Edwin Wesley Haug, Jr. in Merrill, Wisconsin.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. John’s Lutheran Church, and worked with the Richland County Foster Care Program. Mary enjoyed traveling, playing euchre and 500, knitting, reading,… Read More » and doing crossword puzzles. In later years, the Bethke sense of humor came out in Mary.

Mary was survived by four children: Cindy (Jim) Lawrence of Random Lake, Dennis (Sharon) Haug of Sextonville, Pam (Warren) Finder of Kingman, Kansas, Brent Harris of Sextonville; four grandchildren: Amy (Joe) Gatzke, Sarah (Jared) Bennett, Kyle (Breanna) Finder, Danny (Kylie) Finder; four great-grandchildren: Emily Gatzke, Isaish Gatzke, Seth Bennett, Grace Bennett; brother Jim (Jeannine) Bethke of Richland Center; sisters-in-law: Shirley Bethke of Richland Center, Judy Bethke of Stoughton; many other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Avolt and Beulah; husband Wes, sister Marjorie (Harold) Hamilton, brothers: Dennis (Charlene), Sidney, and Gary Bethke. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Reverend Craig Peach officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sextonville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. The family suggests memorials in Mary’s name be directed to the Pine Valley Community Village Foundation.
