Obituary for Michael Ray Maynor Michael Ray Maynor, 64, of Murphysboro, passed away at 11:03 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at his residence in Murphysboro. Michael was born on December 14, 1954, in Murphysboro, to James Maynor and Bessie (Adams) Maynor. He had worked as a handyman.

Mr. Maynor was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Mike liked to fish, but he especially loved to spend time with his grandkids. He is survived by one son and daughter in law Travis and Chrissy Maynor of Ava; his mother Bessie Maynor of Murphysboro; and two grandchildren Gracie Alexis Maynor and Noah James Maynor, both of Ava.

He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Allen officiating and burial at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers, but memorials be made to his grandchildren. For more information, please visit www.
