Our beloved mother, grandma, great grandma and great great grandmother, Myrl Keetch Jarvis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 18, 2018. She was 91 years old. Some of her last words spoken to her family when asked if she was tired were, “I don’t feel tired.

I feel grateful. Grateful for each one of you from the bottom of my heart”. She was born at home on February 20, 1927, in Lindon, Utah to Stanley Birdsell Keetch and Jane Abaiah Prestwich Keetch.

She was the fifth of six children, four of whom have preceded her in death. Except for the last four months, she lived in Lindon her entire life. After serving a mission in the Northern California Mission, Myrl married Wendyl Leon Jarvis on November 12, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple.

They were the love of each other’s lives! Wendyl passed away on March 5, 1998. We are confident that it was a joyous reunion!

Myrl loved playing and watching sports of all kinds, but she especially loved softball, tennis and track. It was rare for her to miss any activity that her grandchildren were involved in from choir concerts to soccer games and everything in between. Myrl was a devoted stay at home mother her entire life.

She raised four children and loved being their mom. She served everyone around her all the time. She loved the Lord and this was evidenced in her interactions with people everywhere.

Myrl served three missions. Her first, at the age of 23, to the Northern California Mission. Her second with Wendyl to the Rapid City South Dakota Mission and her third to the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic Mission, where she and Wendyl learned to speak Spanish as a senior missionary couple.

Myrl served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in various callings. She served in all the auxiliaries; Primary, Sunday School, Scouts, Relief Society and Young Women. She loved Girl’s Camp and as the Girl’s Camp Leader she made girl’s camp the highlight of the summer for many young women throughout the years of her service.

She served in the Mount Timpanogos Temple for 13 years until it became difficult to work because of her health. Myrl was preceded in death by her Parents: Stanley and Jane Keetch. Husband: Wendyl Leon Jarvis.

Siblings: Wendell and Phyllis Keetch, Wesley and Cora Keetch, Duane and Marba Keetch, and El Don and Colleen Keetch. Sister/brother in laws Nola Keetch and Glen Brimhall. Son-in-law: Keith (Myrna) Jeffords.

Step grandson: Jeremy Jeffords. Myrl is survived by her brother and sister: Morley B. Keetch and Lula Brimhall. Children: Mark (Laurie) Jarvis, Billings, Montana; Myrna (Bob) McMillan, Lindon, Utah; LeAnn Pope, Orem, Utah; Janell (Mike) Frost, Orem, Utah and 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way, 12 step grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 11:00 am in the Lindon 3rd ward chapel on 320 W 500 N, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 – 10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North Main, Pleasant Grove under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
