Norman W. Haapapuro March 21, 1935 – February 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Norman W. Haapapuro, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. He was born March 21, 1935 in Hancock, MI to the late Henry and Hilja (Hanson) Haapapuro. On October 11, 1958 Norman married Loretta Moilanen in Hancock, MI.

During his life Norman had worked in the steel industry and woodworking, including Thompson Boats and Emerson Electric from where he retired in 2005. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Marinette. Norman loved home projects and enjoyed spending time outdoors in the woods and cutting firewood.

Norman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loretta, two sons Jimmy (Rita) Haapapuro of Menasha, WI and Andy (Anita) Haapapuro of Arlington Heights, IL; three daughters: Wendy Watkins of Springville, TN, Lori (Tom) Keffer of Kennesaw, GA and Sheree Haapapuro of Burlington, WI; a brother Bruce Haapapuro of Houghton, MI; four sisters: Norma Rapelja of Livonia, MI, Evelyn Killmar of Elk Cajon, CA, June Barry of Collegedale, TN and Karen McKee of Waterford, MI; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday March 2, 2019 from 1pm to 2pm.

The Memorial talk will be given by brother Don Carlson at 2pm.
