Obituary for Rhoda G. Salyers Rhoda G. Salyers, age 68, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Saturday (April 28, 2018) at her home. Born April 29, 1949 in Cedar Bluff, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John “PG” and Molly Vance Johnson. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1967 graduate of Richlands High School and a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College.
She had been employed as an employment specialist at Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services. Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Absher and Preston Powers of Honaker, Virginia; one son, Lucky Silcox, II and wife, Betsy of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Chance Silcox, Cole Silcox and Asher Salyers; one great-grandson, Brantley Silcox. Memorial services will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday (May 5, 2018) at Honaker First United Methodist Church with Brooke Atchley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chance Silcox, Cole Silcox, Asher Salyers.
