Obituary for Richard M. Parker Richard M. Parker, 67 of McClure, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born January 4, 1951 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Peter Parker and Madeline (Hall) Parker. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Kurtz) Parker whom he married in 1999.

Also surviving are his children, Jesse Parker of Enola, Shannon Parker-Knamm and husband Derrik of Middleburg, Eric Parker and wife Johanna of Lewistown and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Parker. Richard was recently retired from his profession of construction project superintendent.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in Vietnam. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and spending time with his family. Richard most notably enjoyed dirt track racing where he and his son Eric were the owners of the Parker Racing #39 Sprint Car.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Mountain Dale Farm in McClure. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
