Robert “Bob” Clidth Shelton, age 77, of Richlands, Virginia while in the loving atmosphere of his home on January 13, 2019, he drew his last breath here on earth and his first breath in heaven. Bob was born on November 18, 1941 in Tazewell County to the late Clint and Minnie Mutter Shelton. He had worked as coal miner for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the Bible Way Church for 33 years and a member of the Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens. Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a lifetime resident of the area and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pansy Fern Hagy, Lola Mae Keen, Dorothy Halsey. Brothers, Tom Shelton and Frankie Shelton. Grandchild, Hunter Blake Shelton.

Those who will forever miss him are: His loving wife, Alice Cordle Shelton of Richlands, Virginia. Daughters: Michelle Shelton and Tishia Shelton Melissa Hampton and husband, Jimmy of Richlands, VA Diane Byrd and fiancé Richard Rife of Whitewood, VA Sons: James Robert Shelton and wife, Juanita of Doran, VA David Shelton and wife, Sheri of Doran, VA Sister, Maudie Marie Farmer of Richlands, VA Brother, Paul Shelton and wife, Judy of Doran, VA Caregiver, Carla Honaker Grandchildren, William Keen, Crystal Hess, Robert Shelton, Kristie Shelton, Brandon Byrd, Madison Byrd, Zachary Rife, Bryson Shelton and Kelly Southern, Logan Shelton, Jaxston Shelton. Great grandchildren.

Michael Keen, Annabell Keen, Naeveh Sentors, Zayland Baldwin, Zaylynn Baldwin, Mali Hess, Brennon Hess, Lakota Shelton and Cholie Shelton. Funeral for Robert “Bob Shelton will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Dannie Short and David Osborne officiating.

Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Ricky Cordle, Chris Halsey, Chris Paul, Jimmy Hampton, Wayne Martin, Robert Shelton, Billy Johnson, and Curtis Whitt. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Bibleway Church.

The family will begin receiving friends Tuesday evening at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
