ROBERT “ROBBIE” TALIVALDS STRAUTNIEKS JR. age 62, of 105 Timberlake Drive, Timberlake, NC died Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018. Mr. Strautnieks was born February 7, 1956 in Fort Knox, KY son of the late Robert Talivalds Strautnieks, Sr. & the late Grace Josephine Smith Gillette and was husband of 41 years to Betsy Ward Strautnieks who survives.

He was a carpenter with Legacy Builders and a member of Timberlake Baptist Church. Robbie enjoyed his family, his work, and making guitars. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Robert Lynn Strautnieks & wife, Jessica of Zebulon, NC, Christopher Michael Strautnieks of TN, three daughters, Robin Michele Strautnieks & fiancé, Josh Conklin of Haw River, NC, Christina Alivia Bradley & husband, William of Timberlake, NC, Dana Ann Johnson & husband, Brandon of Roxboro, NC, sister, Mary Wilson & husband, Ray of Stanfield, NC, two grandchildren, Brianna Leigh Bradley, Caitlyn Marie Bradley, half-brother, Willy Reichmann of Germany, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Strautnieks is preceded in death by a son, Robert “Baby” Strautnieks. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Donald Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 till 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Interment will follow in the Timberlake Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Averette, Josh Conklin, Brandon Johnson, Robert Lynn Strautnieks, Lee Shepherd, Jr., and Ray Wilson.
