Obituary for Robert W. “Bob” Rhoads Sr. Robert W. “Bob” Rhoads, Sr., 72, of Palmyra passed away surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Wednesday October 24, 2018. He was the husband of Karen L. (Pyles) Rhoads, with whom he would have celebrated 52 years in marriage this coming December 10th. Bob was born in Hershey to Gladys (Eshleman) Rhoads of Campbelltown and the late William Rhoads.

He was a graduate of Hershey High School, class of 1965. He had attended Lancaster Bible College and obtained a certificate in Bible from Liberty University. Bob had worked for 40 years for HB Reese as a mechanic and in security.

He was a former member of North Annville Bible Church. He was a lifetime member of Palmyra Sportsman Club and National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed playing his trumpet and playing hymns to the Lord, hunting, fishing, boating, and reading.

He was a generous, loving, kind man. Bob made a lasting impression on each person he met. He will be missed by all those that loved and knew him.

He loved reading the Bible, the Word of God, and witnessed to everyone he could about a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Over the years, he enjoyed leading bible studies and teaching Sunday School classes and he is now with his Lord for eternity. In addition to his mother and wife, are his sons, Robert “Bob” Rhoads and his wife Angela of Mechanicsburg, Richard “Rick” Rhoads and his wife Naomi of East Petersburg, six grandchildren, Aaron, Megan, Amanda, Joshua, Elias, and Grace, and his sister, Ruth Laudermilch and her husband John of Bloomsburg.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle (Rhoads) Gries and a sister, Sandra Kay Rhoads. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 29th, 2018 at 11AM from Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main Street, Ono. Interment will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Ono.

There will be a viewing held with the family from 9:30-11AM at the church.
