Robert Thomas “Tom” Thompson, 52, of Broad St. Weston passed away unexpectedly at 9:56 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lewis County on July 2, 1965 a son of the late Larry Gould Thompson, and Betty Jean Ramsburg Thompson McCardle of St. Marks, FL. He is survived by one son, Jason Craig of Weston; several grandchildren; one brother, Allen Thompson and wife, Tammy, of Weston; two stepbrothers: JR and Vernon Farnesworth, both of St. Marks, FL; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennie Wimer. Tom worked as a handyman in the community and was often seen trimming trees, and removing snow for people in the neighborhood. In his free time he enjoyed socializing with his friends.

Tom’s request for cremation has been honored and his family will have a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to Betty McCardle PO Box 217 St. Marks, FL 32355. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
