Sally J. Fleury, 85, of Marquette, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2018 at Mill Creek Assisted Living Memory Care, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice. Sally was born on February 11, 1933 in Marquette, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Harris) Alexander. She was a 1950 graduate of Graveraet High School.

She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events, plays, recitals, and band concerts. Sally was a former member of St. Peter Cathedral. Sally is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jack Fleury of Marquette; children, Scott (Dianne) Fleury of Marquette, Cathy (Terry) Johnson of Fuquay-Varina, NC, William (Alyssa Sumich) Fleury, Lynne (Brad) Slagle and Julie (George) Duquette of Marquette; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mikel) Poutanen, David (Samantha) Johnson, Heather (Eric) Kieselhorst, Sarah (Derek) Duffield, Shaun Fleury, Justin Verigin, Cameron Verigin, Alex (Jessica) Mutch and Nathan Mutch; eight great grandchildren, Collin, Victoria, Grace, Natalie, Austin, Ava, Liam, and Jackson; siblings, Wally Alexander of Marquette, and Kathleen Gardiepy of Iron Mountain, MI; also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert “Jerry” and Ronald Alexander and a sister, Carol Galeazzi. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the Canale -Tonella Funeral Home. The Fleury family will greet relatives and friends beginning at 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service in the funeral home.

A dessert social will be served in the funeral home immediately following the service. Burial will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are kindly asked to consider Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice, 914 W. Baraga Ave.
