Obituary of Sergio Fernandez-Ford Sergio Fernandez-Ford, 89, of Red Hook, NY, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. Born on August 15, 1929, in Chile and was educated in the Jesuit tradition. He was the son of the late Antonio Fernandez and Christina (Ford-Norman) Fernandez, and one of eight siblings.

Sergio married Sonia Perez on January 5, 1957 in Chile and she survives at home in Red Hook. Sergio was a communicant of St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook. In addition to his loving wife, “Papi” is survived by his two daughters, Sonia (Jim) Crane of Tivoli, NY, and Cindy Banchik of Fort Washington, PA; his grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Domke, Lloyd Domke, Jamie (Jennifer) Crane, Robbie Crane, and Lauren Crane; his great granddaughters, Ellie, Annabelle, and Olivia Cecilia; along with his extended family and friends.

Papi was a blessing to his family and set an example with his kindness, patience and loving spirit. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at St. Christopher’s Church, Red Hook, NY. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in Sergio’s memory to the Shriners Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
