Obituary for Sonja Marie Burdette How far is Heaven? Sonja Burdette, 75, answered that question Wednesday September 19, 2018 at home. She was born July 27, 1943 in Parkersburg, WV, to the late Kenneth and Mildred Deem.

She was also preceded in death by her mother-in law and father-in-law Marguerite and Roscoe Burdette; and Sister Lillian Delaney. Sonja was valedictorian of her class at Carthage Troy High School in Coolville OH. She was also a retired Co-owner of Burdette Camping Center.

She was a vital part in running the company. She was a Christian by faith and attended Winfield United Methodist Church. Sonja is survived by her loving husband Scott Burdette of Southside; children, Steve Burdette (Janetta) of Winfield and Stephanie Abbott (Phil) of Fraziers Bottom; special niece, Lisa Debord (Steve) of Winfield; grandchildren, Chelsey Pritt, Taylor Bigley, Matthew Burdette, Anne Burdette, Colton Jeffries and Chase Jeffries; 6 great grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.

Funeral will be held 2:00pm Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield, with Rev. Chris Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Winfield Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm Friday until 8:00 pm. You may also visit with the family from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. You may visit her tribute page at ChapmanFuneralHomes.com to share memories of Sonja with the family.
