Sue Ellen Stansifer, 68, of Coal City, passed away Sunday morning, November 11, 2018 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Bloomington, IN on January 3, 1950, the daughter of Wayne Prather and Eva Jones Prather. Sue Ellen graduated from Edgewood High School, class of 1968.

She also attended Indiana University, Bloomington. On May 27, 1979, she married Larry Stansifer, together they managed and worked the family dairy farm. Sue Ellen had worked for Chrystal Group Homes assisting… Read More » children with autism and many other group homes helping troubled children.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Stansifer; her son and daughter-in-law, TJ Stansifer and wife, Sarah; her brother, Kent Prather and wife, Becky; a sister, Nancy Prather; nephews, Chad Miller, Nathan Prather and Ryan Rader; a niece, Ashly Rader, father-in-law, Ed Rader; a brother-in-law, Jay Rader and wife, Linda; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Rader. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lynn Prather; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Rader; and a sister-in-law, Connie Miller. No visitation or services are scheduled.

Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City assisted with arrangements.
