Susan Ness Eshleman, July 01, 1950 — May 30, 2018

Obituary for Susan M. Ness (Eshleman) Susan Marie Eshleman Ness, 67, formerly of Hershey, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Irene M. Weiser and John E. Eshleman, and stepdaughter of Jerrold J. Weiser. She is survived by her husband, Stephen E. Ness, and by his four children: Stacey wife of Bobby Clements of Colorado Springs, CO; Stephenie wife of Davey Berry of Spring Grove; Sheena wife of Cori Miller of Craley; and Dax Ness husband of Crystal of West York.

Susan was preceded in death by her brother, John S. Eshleman of Mount Joy, but survived by her sister, Patricia, wife of Donald Popp of Palmyra, and brother, Jerrold S. Weiser husband of Deborah of Livonia, N.Y. She had nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also preceded in death by many beloved “fur babies”, including Max, Molly and Vinnie.

She leaves behind her Tonkinese cat, Katie. Susan graduated from Hershey High School in 1968, HACC in 1972, and Penn State in 1983. She was employed by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts from 1968 until 2000.

She worked for Mariner’s Choice boat dealership until its closing then for Felicita Golf and Spa resort for several years, then several “temp” positions until retiring from AHOLD in 2016 due to her extended illness. During her life she enjoyed her cats, reading, scrapbooking, cross stitching, photography and bird watching. She always loved spending time with her family, especially picking on her little brothers and sister.

She was a collector of dolls, bears, and Sheila Victorian houses. She particularly enjoyed sitting on her deck and listening to her waterfall and the birds. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 1 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown.

Friends and relatives are invited to the viewings in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 6 to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of the service. A private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice for All Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028.
