Todd’s Obituary Todd (Tage) Olov Olson, 94, of Eagle River, WI, formerly of Prospect Heights, Skokie and Evanston, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 20th in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Todd was born March 25, 1924, in Norrala, Sweden. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 4, and graduated from Evanston High School, where he played basketball.

Todd enlisted in the Army during World War II, was captured during the Battle of the Bulge and held as a prisoner of war for five months. Later in life, he received the Bronze Star for his military service and courage. After returning from the war, he married his sweetheart, the late Elizabeth (Betsy) Alexander, and raised a family in Prospect Heights, where he was a member of the Prospect Heights Lions Club and had his own painting and contracting business.

Todd and Betsy retired to Eagle River, WI, where they spent many summers fishing, golfing, water skiing, and hosting parties, as well as spending time with their children and grandchildren. Todd is survived by his children, Todd N., Karen (Ron) Kick, Connie (Larry) Van Oosten, and Mary Ellen (Tom) Casey; grandchildren, Amy (John) Powell, Jeff (Terri) Van Oosten, Jennifer Kick, Shanna (Dan) Kafoglis, Alyssa (Sam) Casey, and Brennan Casey; great-grandchildren Emma and Zach Powell, Isabelle, Matthew, and Avery Van Oosten, and Henry Kafoglis. Visitation will be Saturday, January 26th, 9 to 11 a.m., with a brief service to follow, at Kristan Funeral Home, 219 W. Maple Ave.
