Troy E. Casares, 55, of Grand Island passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 in Denver. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at All Faiths Funeral Home, Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Celebrant will be Fr.

Jim Golka. Burial will follow at Grand Island City Cemetery. Troy was born on January 14, 1964 in Grand Island, son of Doaciano R. and Sharon K. (Smith) Casares Sr. Troy attended Grand Island Public Schools growing up.

He later earned his G.E.D. He learned many skills from watching his parents; and continued to use throughout his life. As a longtime resident of Grand Island, Troy was self-employed, taking on many jobs such as drywalling, flooring and concrete work.

In early 2000 Troy made Denver his home where he met his wife of 9 years, Alisha Trujllo. Troy was always known as a very dependable person who would always lend a helping hand. He was always the life of any party and always had a smile on his face.

Troys happiest times were always when he was with his family and friends. His memory is forever in the hearts of his father, Don Casaes Sr; brothers, Don Casares JR. , Carpio (Amy) Casares, Lasado Casares; sister, Vinita (Larry) Garzee, Christina (Gustavo) Martinez, Lisa Espinoza, and Benita Casares; children, Zach Gerier, Antone Schiefelbein, Monique Casares and Isabella Casares; grandchildren, along with numerous extended family and friends.

Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Casares; son, Michael Compos; love of his life, Alisha Trujllo; and brother- in- law, Jose Espinoza.
