Toulon – Vicki L. Moutoux, 68, of Toulon, Illinois, passed away at home in her sleep in the early morning hours of June 22, 2018. Vicki was born on December 26, 1949 in Canton, Illinois, to Virgil and Rosalie (Baldwin) Cox. She married Gregg E. Moutoux on July 3, 1971.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years; their daughter Sarah (Jeff) Fullilove and twin grandsons Nathan and Sam Fullilove, of Savoy, Illinois; her mother, Rosalie Cox of Decatur, Illinois; her sister, Julie (David) Gross… Read More » of Pelham, Massachusetts; her two brothers, Steve (Vikki Mee) Cox of Bend, Oregon and Jeff (Judy) Cox of Decatur, Illinois; her niece, Morgan Cox of Portland, Oregon; her nephew, Sean (Jamie) Cox of Los Angeles, California; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Cox. Vicki worked at the Toulon Grade School library; for Wallace Engineering and Land Surveying in Toulon; as an assistant to Jim Nowlan of Toulon; and for more than 20 years as the accompanist for the Stark County School District, including many years playing for the high school musicals.
She also taught piano lessons for many years. Vicki enjoyed singing in the Stark County Community Chorus and playing the French horn in the Stark County Community Band. She was a member of the Toulon Public Library Board for 15 years, and during her time as president she supervised the transition from a local to a district library, thus assuring that the library would have enough money for annual budgets.
She often spoke of this as an accomplishment of which she was very proud. Vicki was also a member of the Stark County Arts Council (now the Stark County Fine Arts Network) for more than 20 years, a number of those as president. She was a member of PEO Chapter BY, to which she was very devoted, and she was a member of the Girls’ Night Out book club.
In addition, Vicki accompanied the choir and played service music for the Toulon United Methodist Church for almost 20 years. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the Toulon United Methodist Church.
There will be no visitation; however, all are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering that will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the formal service. Private burial will be in Toulon Cemetery. Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Toulon is assisting the family with arrangements.
