Obituary Service Details William Carlson, 82 William Carlson loving husband of Sandra Ann Carlson, passed from this life in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Villa at the Bay in Petoskey. Bill was born March 14, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio where he also was raised and attended school; he was a graduate of Columbus West High School, Class of 1954. His parents were Axel and Caroline (Sather) Carlson.

He proudly served in the Ohio National Guard for a number of years. Bill worked in the construction trades for many years and was involved in both home construction as well as commercial properties. He was well respected as a gifted craftsman and his dedication to a job well done.

His wife Sandy will remember lovingly, a husband who was a gentleman in every sense of the word, gentle, loving and kind. The two loved to travel and over the years enjoyed many adventures together, including fishing in northern Minnesota. Bill is survived by his wife Sandy and was preceded in death by sister Bernice McKnight.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8th at Lakeview Cemetery in Mackinaw City; Rev. David Behling will officiate. There’s still time to send flowers to the Graveside Service at the Lakeview Cemetery-Mackinaw City at 11:00 AM on May 8, 2018.
