William “Billy” Smith, a resident of Fishkill and formerly of Beacon and Cold Spring, passed away at his home on January 30, 2019. He was 57 years old. Billy was born in Cold Spring on January 5, 1962.

He was the son of Donald Smith and the late Joan Van Tassel Daddone. He had worked as a truck driver for Downey Oil in Cold Spring. Billy is survived by his father, Donald Smith and his step-mother, Geraldine Smith; his siblings, Ed Smith and his wife, Kathy, Donna Hicks and her husband, Joe, Patricia Ingles and her husband, Leonardo and Matthew Smith and his wife, Lydia; his nieces and nephews, Laura Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jason Smith, Alicia Soto and Ernesto Soto.

In addition to his mother, Billy was predeceased by his nephews, Robert Smith and Peter Smith. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, February 9 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Council on Addiction Prevention and Education of Dutchess County (CAPE), 807 Route 52, Fishkill, New York 12524.
