Obituary for William Thomas Durham William Thomas Durham, 47, of Fayetteville NC, formerly of Milton and Teays Valley WV, passed away on June 9, 2018. Born the only child to William G. Jr. and Paula Beverage Durham on July 31, 1970 in Dayton OH. Billy was a graduate of Milton High School and Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts, Masters in Psychology.

He served his country in the US Air Force as a medic, a Pararescueman and a loadmaster, serving in both Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. He also served as firefighter in the West Virginia Air National Guard’s 130th Airlift Wing and the WV Army National Guard’s 2/19th Special Forces Group and 35th Civil Support Team. He also was a graduate of the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg MD, a longtime member of Teays Valley Fire Department as Asst.

Chief of Training, and a WVU/RESA III Instructor. In addition to his parents, he also leaves behind his wife: Mary Jayne Durham; children: Anna Victoria Durham and William Thomas Durham II. Funeral service for Bill will be 7:00pm Saturday June 16, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Pastor Charles V. Williams officiating.

Visitation will be an hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Billy’s name to: Teays Valley Fire Dept. , 105 South Poplar Fork Road, Scott Depot WV.
