Obituary for Wilma R. Voelker Wilma R. (Martin) Voelker, 96, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Wilma was born December 12, 1921 in Evansville to the late Anthony J. and Severine A. (Brune) Martin. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Wilma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County and the St. Ann’s Altar Society at the church. Surviving Wilma are four daughters, Regina (Sam) Dempsey, Marleen Voelker, Joan (Carl) Stewart and Mary (Greg) Clodfelter and one son, Dan (Sharon) Voelker, all of Evansville; two sisters, Imelda (Bob) Woodward of Evansville and Hilda (Vernon) Schaefer of Haubstadt; a brother, Francis J. Martin of St. Wendel; ten grandchildren, Gina (Brian) Cooksey, Cheryl Elpers, Steve (Kathy) Blume, Jim (Laura) Blume, Tim (Julianna) Voelker, Matt Voelker, Carla Jones, Michael (Amy) Stewart, Jason (Kellie) Clodfelter and Sara (Joe) DeWitt; twenty one great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond J. Voelker in 2007; by a sister, Mariana Elpers and a brother, Anthony R. Martin.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County, Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Church cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time on Saturday at St. Joseph Church Vanderburgh County. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Vanderburgh County, 6202 W. St. Joseph Road, Evansville, IN 47720 or to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004.
