Obituary for John H Sampson John H. Sampson, 88, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. John was born June 11, 1930 in Columbus, KS to the late John Henry and Helen (Foster) Sampson. John worked at Holweger Construction for 37 years.

He was a member of the Grand Masonic Lodge in Galesburg, IL for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Bettie (Rich) Sampson; his sister Sheryl Steagull of Galesburg, IL and her son Ron, the mother of his children Phyllis Phillips of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Sandra Eagan of St. Louis; grandchildren and great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents; and his three children, Richard Lee, Keila Ann, and Michael Wayne.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Park Terrace, to Deaconess VNA Hospice, especially Stacey and Joy. As per John’s wishes there will be no services or visitations and he will be cremated. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel will be handling the arrangements.
