Yvonne Louise Mitchner, 52, of North Vernon passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at her residence. Born February 1, 1966, in Madison, Mrs. Mitchner was the daughter of James and Charlene (Tolle) Payne. She married Kenneth Leon Mitchner on June 21, 1985, in Jennings County.

He preceded her in death on April 23, 2007. Mrs. Mitchner held a master’s degree in Business and owned the Fabric Outlet in Loogootee and North Vernon. She was a member of the First Christian Church in North Vernon.

Mrs. Mitchner loved being with her family, especially her grandkids and her dog; she enjoyed football, NASCAR, crocheting and going to her mother’s. She is survived by her son, Matthew Mitchner of Paoli; daughter, Megan (Jacob) Davis of Loogootee; parents, James and Charlene Payne of North Vernon; sister, Rebecca (Shannon) Jones of North Vernon; grandchildren, Mayson Simmons, Madyson Simmons and Easton Davis, all of Loogootee; nieces and nephews, Amelya Eveslage, Ryan Eveslage, and Serenity Erwin, all of Scipio, Reese Eveslage, Samantha Erwin, and Justin Eveslage, all of Seymour, and many more nieces and nephews; and dog, Odie. She was preceded in death by her husband.

A private graveside service will be held in the Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
