Alice Sue Carter, 57, of Brazil, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. Alice was born on August 5, 1960, in Spencer, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Maggie (Barnes) Huff. Alice graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1979.

She worked for Blue Bonnet as a waitress, at Stout’s Tanning as the shop manager, and most recently at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in housekeeping. Alice loved being around people, spending time with family, talking… Read More » on the phone and telling silly jokes. She also had a soft spot for animals and especially loved her dog Buddy.

In 2008 Alice met Dennis Nevins. Alice and Dennis soon fell in love and have since been inseparable. They would often travel to area festivals where they would enjoy looking at antique cars and enjoy their time together.

Most of all Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Paul Huff and Maggie Huff Shepard, a sister Darlene, and a brother James. She is survived by her lifemate Dennis Nevins; daughters: Amber Hamilton and husband Steve of Plainfield and Rikki Haviland and husband Caleb of Brazil; grandchildren: Kendra Tisdale (Matt Phillips), Aubrey Hamilton, Emma Hamilton, and Oliver Hamilton; brothers: Will Huff of Hawaii and Pat Huff of Indianapolis as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 11am until 1pm. Services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00pm with Pastor Bill Price officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay County Humane Society PO Box 277 Brazil, IN 47834. Visit www.
