Mr. Alton “Geno” Eugene McRae February 11, 1956 – January 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card GREENSBORO- Mr. Alton Eugene McRae, 62, of 2103 Edmond Drive, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Wesley Long Hospital. Born in Randolph County, he was the son of Joseph McRae and Mollie Jefferies McRae, both deceased. In addition to his parents, Alton was preceded in death by three brothers, Val McRae, James McRae, and Allen McRae, Sr. Geno is survived by a daughter, Michelle McRae Lillie (James) of Durham; two sons, Alton Eugene McRae, Jr. of High Point and Maurice J. McRae (Stacy) of Mebane, NC; one brother, Alonzo McRae of Asheboro; one sister, Diana Nickerson (William) of Liberty; seven grandchildren, Jyquel McRae, Sefanie McRae, Meccaylah McRae, Jacobe McRae, Emotion McRae, JáDon Lillie and MáLeah Lillie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Geno’s homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Alamance Funeral Service. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service in the chapel. Mr. McRae’s public viewing will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 1:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
