Obituary for Andrew D. Smith Andrew D. Smith, 63, lifelong resident of Attleboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in Gilmanton NH. He was the loving companion of 19 years to Paula Hayes. Andy was born on October 9, 1954, in Attleboro, and was a son of the late Carlton and Rita (LePage) Smith.

Andy was employed for many years as a school bus driver for Attleboro Public Schools. Andy was an avid antique car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time on his computer. He also enjoyed traveling, volunteer work and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of the South Shore Antique Auto Club, the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Gold Wing Riders Club, Attleboro Elks Lodge BPOE #1014 and Graham Owners Club International. He is survived by his children, Christopher Smith and his wife Sommerlea of Attleboro, Elizabeth Smith and her companion Aaron Frank of Florida and Heather Smith and her companion Christopher Speer of Attleboro; brother, James Smith and his wife Lueann of VA Beach, VA; sisters, Carleen Hazel Proulx and her husband Roger of St. Petersburg, FL and Deborah Ruel and her husband Kenneth of Rehoboth; eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carleen Helen Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018,from 9 to 11:30am, at the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
