Obituary for Sarah-Jane (Reed) Meyer Sarah-Jane Meyer (Reed) passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at her Raynham, MA home at the age of 77, after a courageous fight against Parkinson’s Disease. Sarah-Jane was born November 21, 1940, in Brockton, MA, to the late Milton H. Reed and Lois M. (Field) Reed of Raynham. Sarah-Jane spent her childhood growing up in Raynham, MA and was a graduate of Taunton High School and Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio.

It was there that she met her future husband, and fellow choir member, Kenneth J. Meyer, and had the privilege of singing at the White House for President Eisenhower. Her love of singing and music followed her in all of her life as she was also a former member of the choir at the Memorial United Methodist Church, in Taunton. Sarah-Jane was the proud owner of “Creative Crafts” and enjoyed her Sundays at the Raynham City Place Flea Market where she shared her love of creating beautiful crafts with her loyal following of customers.

She also taught many crafting classes out of her Raynham home. She enjoyed camping with her husband and family in their motor home, caring for her “four-legged children”, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. Sarah-Jane is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth J. Meyer of Raynham.

She was the loving mother of Laura A. Patenaude and her husband Michael F. of Taunton, Robert T. Meyer and his girlfriend Leah E. Lebel of Norton, Julie K. Gallo and her husband Andrew J. Gallo of Weston, and Timothy S. Meyer of Taunton. Sarah-Jane is also survived by her sister Meredith R. Stone (Reed) and her husband Edward Stone of Bridgewater, and two nephews Jonathan E. Stone of Raynham and Christopher R. Stone of Bridgewater. .

She was also the loving grandmother to: Brandon and Ashley Patenaude of Taunton, Avery, Tessa, and Nicole Gallo of Weston, and Nicholas, Julianne, and Tyler Lebel of Norton. A private funeral service and internment has been held and a celebration of life will be planned and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Colony Hospice of Bridgewater at 321 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or Holt International Children’s Services at 250 Country Club Rd.
