Anna L. (McClurkin) Clawson, of Indiana PA formerly of Allegheny Township passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital. Born on September 7, 1947 in Indiana she was a daughter of the late Samuel Isiah and Edna (Dressler) McClurkin. She was a 1965 graduate of Indiana High School and former Girl Scout.

She loved animals and was devoted to her cat “Champ”. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Clawson on May 5, 2017. Survivors include her daughters, Jessica L. (James Clepper) Clawson of Hyde Park and Jo Anne K. (Tom Pendergast) Clawson of Tarentum; sister, Edna B. McClurkin of Indiana; brother, Harry (Judy) McClurkin of Bolivar; cousin, Phyllis Groomes of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 13th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 14th at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor’s Larry and Lorraine Henry officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Indiana SPCA, 191 Airport Road, Indiana, PA 15701 in Anna’s memory.
