Anna Mae Terpenning February 19, 1937 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Anna Mae Terpenning, age 81, of Marlette, MI went home to her Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, MI. She was born February 19, 1937 in Lapeer, MI the daughter of Thurlow and Cleone (Whitney) Pierce. Anna Mae graduated from Lapeer High School with the Class of 1955.

She married Truman “Al” Terpenning August 9, 1958 in Lapeer, MI. Anna Mae worked as a secretary at Lapeer Schools, as a bookkeeper and teller at Wolverine State Bank, NBD Bank and Kingston State Bank retiring after 30 plus years in the banking industry. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Branch.

Anna Mae loved spending time with her family, mowing lawn, sewing, puzzles and playing games. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Albert (Tammy) Terpenning of Marlette, Bethany (Derek) Study of York, PA and Darrell (Terri) Terpenning of Grand Blanc; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; siblings, Helen Marie Smith, Leroy (Sandy) Pierce, Betty (Claude) Ross and Thurlow (Katie) Pierce Jr.; one brother-in-law, Dan (Lora) Stuart; and many nieces and nephews. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Truman “Al” Terpenning April 29, 2016; parents, Thurlow and Cleone Pierce; one sister, Carolyn Stuart; and one brother-in-law, Bill Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 PM Friday, February 1, 2019 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette and 10 AM until time of the service Saturday at the church. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Marlette Baptist Church in Marlette with Pastor Joshua Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Township Cemetery, Snover, MI.
