Obituary for Carl Ray Bailey Carl Ray Bailey, 70 of Hurricane, passed away September 20, 2018 at home with family. Carl was born June 26, 1948 in Poca to the late Kenneth and Virginia Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tricia Ann Bailey; grandparents, Myrl and Denver Hawley and Carl and Addie Bell Bailey; and his loving aunts and uncles.

He graduated from Poca High School and Morris Harvey College (University of Charleston). Carl was in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Post Office 32 years with the last 18 years being the postmaster of Poca, WV.

He will be missed by all who knew him. Carl loved his family and loved his golf. He was a member of Sleepy Hollow Golf Club for 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Bailey of Hurricane; sister, Rita Bailey of Poca; niece, Tabitha Bradford (Josh); great niece, Emmaline Bradford; great nephew Landon Bradford; brother-in-law, Spike Conley (Maureen); nephews, Eric Conley and Kevin Conley (Claudia); great nephew, Bennett Conley; and many other extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Entombment will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane.
