Obituary for Charles “Buck” Landes Jr Mr. Charles William “Buck” Landes, Jr., age 38, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Sunday (April 29, 2018) at his home. He was born October 23, 1979 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the son of the late Jeannie Patricia Lowe.

He had formerly been employed as a roof bolter and as a coal miner for Alpha. A man with a beautiful smile and many talents, he enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, riding four wheelers, gardening, working with his John Deere tractor, and eating, but most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Boyd, Jr., and grandparents, Rex and Oma Lowe.

Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Tammy Arwood of the home; two children, Colby Tate Landes and Caiden Trigg Landes both of the home; two step-sons, Dr. Jarrid Looney of Greensboro, North Carolina and Dalton Harris of the home; step-daughter, Victoria Roberts and husband, Roy of Rowe; three step-grandsons, C.J. Beinstingel, Landon “Punkinhead” Roberts, and Raistlin Looney; brothers and sisters, Donald and Pam Watson, and Anthony Patronsky all of Lexington, North Carolina, Judy and Paul Sutherland of Cedar Bluff, Yuvon Leslie and Rex and Jen Leslie all of Bristol, Virginia, and Althea and Billy Baldwin of Richlands, Virginia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arvil and Virginia Arwood of Rowe; brother-in-law, Danny Arwood; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Michael Justice and Rev.
