Charlotte Katherine McClure Boger October 23, 1925 – May 15, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Memorial Donation Charlotte Katherine McClure Boger’s long battle with Alzheimer’s ended on May 15, 2019 around 5:05 a.m. She was 93 years old and resided at the Laurels of Charlottesville. Charlotte was born in Marion, Va. on October 23, 1925, to Robert and Winnie McClure.

Her career life began with Western Union and then the Martha Jefferson Hospital before retiring from The Virginia State Department as an Outpatient Psych Fiscal Assistant at the University of Virginia Health and Sciences Center. After her retirement from State Department, she worked at Sam’s Club until 2009. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur Boger Sr., and her brother, William McClure and sister, Carolyn Blevins.

She is survived by her son, Charles Arthur Boger Jr. and daughter, Carolyn Ann Boger Wright. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Ian Wright and his wife Gervais, Brooke Scarsella and her husband Eric and five great grandchildren, Josephine and Gervais Wright and Colton, Charlotte and Mia Katherine Scarsella. The family would like to thank Annie Seaton for the love and care Charlotte received before she entered the Laurels.

There will be a graveside gathering on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 355 Rio Road West, Suite 102, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
