Obituary for Christine Taylor Christine Davis Taylor, 85, passed away peacefully at Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, MS on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Born November 5, 1932 in Waynesboro, MS, she was the daughter of the late Ed Davis and the late Madie Smith Davis. She finished school in Wayne County, and was married to Thomas C. Taylor.

Christine was baptized at the age of 9 in Waynesboro, and in 1992, she rededicated her life to the Lord at Colonial Hills Baptist Church. Most recently she was a member of Southaven First Baptist Church. She was a retired LPN for both Baptist and Methodist Hospitals.

Later in her career Christine was a private duty nurse. She will be deeply missed, but she is now in her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City is in charge of arrangements.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation from 1:00pm until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Bro.

Mark Longino will be officiating. Interment will follow at Calhoun City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Olds, Dawson Olds, Sam Sweeting, Jonathan Gardner, Roderick Davis, and Thomas Grafe.

She leaves behind two daughters, Donna Olds (Bill) of Horn Lake, and Janet Lynn Sweeting (Jerry) of Southaven; a step-son, Bud Taylor (Stina) of Calhoun City; a step-daughter, Lydia Jean Taylor Arrington (Robert) of Waynesboro; a sister, Noma Sansing of Byram, MS; three brothers, Johnny Paul Davis (Betty) of Waynesboro, Bobby Davis (Earline) of Pineville, LA, and James Davis (Ruby Lee) of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, Thomas Grafe, Cheri Rodriguez, Dottie Haynes, Benjamin (Christa) Olds, Beth (Jonathan) Gardner, Dawson Olds, Sam Sweeting, and Christy (Brad) Elkins; six great-grandchildren, Christa Stringfellow, Kimberly Sheets, Shana Collins, Kaden Gardner, Ava Gardner, and Mark Andrew Elkins; and also one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ouida Cochran and Earline Rogers; and four brothers, Claude Ray Davis, E.B. Davis, Jack Davis, and DeTalmadge Davis.
