Life Story for Martha Sue Kimbrell Calhoun City—Martha Sue Kimbrell, 79, entered into her Heavenly home from Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on Friday, August 31, 2018. Born August 27, 1939, she was the daughter of the late W.O. Whitworth and the late Kathrine Parker Whitworth. She graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1957, and was a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church.

On October 2, 1959, she married Wade Kimbrell, and they have spent 58 wonderful years together. In her free time, she loved to be fishing, cooking, or playing family games, and she cherished reading her Bible and studying God’s word. Her faith, family, and friends meant the most to her.

She loved having tea parties with her great-grandkids and had a lot of cousins she loved to hang out with. She was a very strong willed but gentle soul who loved her family deeply. She could make anyone laugh, and was never afraid to speak her mind.

She will be missed deeply by her family and friends, but they find comfort knowing she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Kimbrell family. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Monday, September 3, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home.

There will also be a visitation on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Bobby Douglas will be officiating, with Bro.

Jim Vance delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Kimbrell, Jeffery Kimbrell, Terry Kimbrell, Heath Denley, Gilbert Denley, Michael Denley, Kevin Doler, and Kevin Stone.

She leaves behind her Husband of 58 years, Wade Kimbrell; a son, Ronald Kimbrell and his finance Kim of Calhoun City; three grandchildren, Rhonda Kimbrell Burke, Michael Kimbrell, and Jeffery Kimbrell and his fiancé Laci Meadows, all of Calhoun City; and she was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Katelynn Burke, Kaleb Burke, Elizabeth Spencer, Lucus Kimbrell, and Gemma Kimbrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Kimbrell, and a brother, Bobby Whitworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chapel Hill Cemetery Fund or the Gideon’s Bible Fund.
