TAMBURINI “Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother” Mrs. Claire D. (Monfette) Tamburini, 87, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, December 29, 2018 in the VITAS Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Louis R. Tamburini. Claire was born in Waterbury, November 3, 1931 daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Grenier) Monfette.

She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High. She worked at J.E. Smith Lumber for 10 years as a cashier, switchboard operator and secretary. She was a member of SS.

Peter & Paul Ladies Guild and communicant of St. Leo the Great Church. Claire was an avid duck pin bowler and bingo player, enjoyed frequenting casinos and playing the slots. She and her husband loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach.

Besides her husband of 62 years, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Debra Miller and Mark Brundage Sr. of Wolcott, two grandchildren, Eric Miller and his wife Jaclyn of Waterbury, and Alyssa Perullo and her husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC, two great grandchildren, Carter and Stella Miller, a sister-in-law, Gloria DelBuono, her best friends, Donald & Betty Ensero, and several nieces and nephews. Claire’s family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Peter Levinson and staff of Alliance Medical Group, Dr. David Tkeshelashvili and staff of Waterbury Neurology and VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital for the exceptional care and treatment given to Claire during her illness. Arrangements: Funeral will be held Thursday January 3, 2019 at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Saint Leo the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
