D’Agostino “I Love You Gram” Marie (Christofano) D’Agostino, 90, passed away at her home in Waterbury on February 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was married to her husband, Michael, for 69 years. Marie was born in Waterbury on January 24, 1929 to the late Donato and Dorothy (Rocco) Christofano.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School. She worked at US Time and Bendix in Cheshire until her retirement in 1991. Marie was known for her kindness, generosity and fabulous coffee.

There was always someone at the kitchen table having coffee and sharing a story. She was an accomplished cook and a fabulous baker. She baked cookies for showers, weddings and special occasions.

Her friends and family received their favorite cake on their birthday. Marie was also an avid duck pin bowler. She competed in, and won tournaments throughout the state.

One of her favorite days of the year was bowling against her late brother Dutch at Perrillo’s Bowling Alley for the Kidney Foundation. In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her daughter Deborah, her son Michael and his companion Nancy Mobilio and the love of her life, her grandson John Michael D’Agostino. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law Marie Christofano, Marianne D’Agostino and her brother-in-law Richard D’Agostino, several nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews and her lifelong friend Josie DiBlasi.

She was predeceased by her brothers John, Murph (Lydia), Dutch (Paula) and Chick. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all the caregivers and VITAS who assisted through these difficult times. Their support was truly appreciated.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In Marie’s memory family and friends are asked to make donations to her favorite charity: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital Tribute Program/P.O. Box 1000, Dept.
