Ikbal Kulla January 09, 1933 – February 14, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Watertown, CT Ikbal Kulla “Loving wife, mother, grandmother & sister” Ikbal (Kiazim) Kulla, 86, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on Thursday, February 14, 2019 with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Sami Kulla for 60 years this past February 8th. Ikbal was born on January 9, 1933 in Thessaloniki, Greece a daughter of the late Rustem and Hajrije (Ali) Kiazim.

She came to the United States by way of Greece to Canada and came to Waterbury 1970. She spoke five languages and taught at the Albanian school at the Waterbury Albanian American Mosque. She was a wonderful caregiver to her family.

Besides her husband, Ikbal lived with her son, Agim Kulla and his wife, Myzen with whom she resided in Watertown and three granddaughters, Jetona Bardhollari and her husband, Rudian, Sheriban Kulla and Lindita Kulla. She also leaves one sister, Tefta Bushka and her husband, Myfit of Waterbury, one brother, Bardhyl Kiazim and his wife, Sherry of Waterbury, one sister-in-law, Fatmira Qazimi of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Sami Qazimi.

Ikbal’s family would like to thank her private caregiver, Dee and the staff and doctors at VITAS Hospice for the wonderful care given to Ikbal. Arrangements: Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held this evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
