Michael F. Hackett March 10, 1947 – February 24, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Beacon Falls, CT Michael F. Hackett “Loving father, grandfather and brother” Michael F. Hackett, age 71, of Beacon Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Vecchiarelli) Hackett. Michael was born on March 10, 1947 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Starno) Hackett.

He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved to ride with his wife Phyllis. They enjoyed touring the countryside, exploring country roads, and finding hidden gems.

He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. Michael is survived by his daughter, Melissa Stasiak and her husband, Jeffrey of Hamden, CT, step daughter, Melissa Okpokwasili and her husband, Nkemakonam of Fort Humphreys, South Korea, stepsons, Jeffrey Pregman and his wife, Shannon Donnelly of Oakton, VA and Douglas Pregman and his wife, Allison of Newtown, CT. He also leaves his grandchildren, Mason Stasiak, Jack and Callie Pregman, Maverick Pregman, and Donovan, Nkechi, Mika, Chiamaka and Naya Okpokwasili, sister, Kathleen Rao of East Haven, CT and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Hackett. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 25 Maple Ave. , Beacon Falls, CT.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT.
