Anthony J. Ferrucci August 24, 1942 – February 17, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book WATERBURY Anthony J. Ferrucci “Loving Uncle, Great Uncle & Friend” Anthony J. Ferrucci, 76, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday, February 17, 2019, the day of the Daytona 500, at Abbott Terrace nursing home in Waterbury. Anthony was born in Waterbury on August 24, 1942, son of the late Stephen R. and Isabella “Betty” (DiLeo) Ferrucci Sr He worked as a cook for Ferrucci’s Restaurant on Meriden Road in Wolcott, the Checkered Flag Restaurant and Southbury Training School.

He later worked as a crossing guard for the city of Waterbury retiring in 2014. He was a talented musician having played the drums in several bands including “The Savoys”. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he attended the Daytona 500 while living in Florida for several years.

Anthony was also an assistant pastor of the Triumphant Church of Christ Jesus and Healing Rooms on Meadow Street in Waterbury; a congregation started by his brother Stephen Jr. and his wife Carolyn, who were both pastors there. Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memory his nephews and nieces; Stephen R. Ferrucci III of Middlebury, Kathleen Bartoli-Ferrucci of Woloctt, Richard J. Gagnon and his wife Ana of Oakville, Ronald J. Gagnon and his wife Soraida of Waterbury, his great nieces and nephews Bryan Ferrucci and his wife Kathleen of Middlebury, Samuel Ferrucci and his wife Kristen of Waterbury, Matthew Michaud and his wife Michelle of Wolcott, Mallory Michaud of Waterbury, Mark Michaud of Tennessee, Alana Gagnon of Waterbury, and Dylan Gagnon of Oakville. He also leaves behind several great great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his two brothers; Robert Ferrucci and Stephen R. Ferrucci Jr.and Steve’s wife who was Tony’s best friend and NASCAR-watching buddy; Carolyn Ferrucci and a great nephew, Evan Gagnon. Arrangements: A calling hour will be held on Friday February 22, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A service will be held at 12 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hour.

Burial will follow at All Saint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Tony’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Tribute Center/P.O. Box 1000, Dept.
