Joseph Caruso May 20, 1929 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Southbury, CT Joseph Caruso “Loving brother & uncle” Joseph Caruso, age 89, of Southbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. Joseph was born on May 20, 1929 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Michael A. and Clementina (Genua) Caruso. He enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics and worked in the thrift store, the farm and the greenhouse at the Southbury Training School.

Joseph leaves two brothers, James Caruso of Oxford, Domenic Caruso of Southbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles, Frank, Rocco and Louis Caruso and sisters, Rose Birch and Mary Mancini. Joseph’s family would like to thank the entire staff of the Southbury Training School for the many years of wonderful care given to him.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 62 St. Michael Dr., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
