Miguel C. Almeida December 16, 1938 – December 31, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERBURY MIGUEL C. ALMEIDA “Loving father grandfather and brother” Miguel C. Almeida age 80 of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 31, 2018 at the Cheshire House in Waterbury. Miguel was born December 16, 1938 in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde Island a son of the late Manuel Miguel Almeida and Rosa Ana (Conceicao) Almeida. He worked as a Merchant Marine for over 20 years in Norway until 1985 when he immigrated to Waterbury.

Miguel then was employed in the packing department at Les Care Kitchens until his retirement in 2002. He leaves his sons Jose and Heidi Almeida of Waterbury, Antonio and Samira Almeida of Myrtle Beach, SC. , three daughters Manuela and Frederick Peters of Kissimmee, FL.

, Gisela DeBrito of Kissimmee, FL. , Valdi and Darren Gordon of Davenport, FL. , two brothers Francisco and Jose Almeida, both of Waterbury, three sisters Maria Almeida of Waterbury, Maria Fatima Almeida of Cape Verde, Lucia Almeida of Portugal, seven grandchildren and a great grandson.

Miguel’s family would like to thank the Cheshire House for taking such good care of our beloved father. Also, thank you to Regional Hospice and Ms. Christine Mastropietro for holding our hands during this most difficult time. We are eternally grateful for you all.

Arrangements: Calling hours for Miguel will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. For more info or to send e-condolences visit: www.
