Clarence South November 29, 1920 – March 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Clarence South, 98, of Pleasant Grove, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Clarence was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove. He was a WWII veteran of the US Air Corp.

Clarence retired from Dahlke- South Caulking Company. He was a member of the Birmingham Square Dance Association and Allemande Club. Clarence loved to travel, going to all fifty states.

He was a loving husband, devoted father and a proud Granddaddy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Catherine South; his father, Kelly South; his brother, Dwin South; his daughter-in-law; Rebecca South and his grandson, David South. Clarence is survived by his sons, Jerry South (Ming) and Robin South; his daughters, Kay South Hardy (Jay) and Bonnie South Payne (Benny); his ten grandchildren; his eleven great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends.

Church service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the church. Pastor Daniel Wilson will be officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. All flowers be delivered to the church at, 724 4th St. Pleasant Grove. In lieu of flowers donations be made to FBCPG.
