Obituary for Donald Richard Feldkamp Born September 23, 1933 in Saline, MI to Omer and Meleda (Finkbeiner) Feldkamp. Donald was Baptized and a Confirmed member at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saline, MI his entire life. On July 20, 1955, he married Elizabeth May Marion at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saline.
Donald was an active member of the church and served on many church boards over the years. Donald was a member of the IBEW Local #252 and had worked at Arrow Electric before retiring to be the devoted care giver for the love of his life Elizabeth, during her later years with Alzheimer’s. Donald was a Korean War Veteran and a very proud farmer in Saline for over 50 years.
Donald is survived by three children; David (Linda A.) Feldkamp of Ann Arbor, Linda S. Feldkamp of Saline, and Patricia (David) Eck of Saline; four grandchildren; Andrea (Adam) Raymo, Leah Feldkamp, Brandon Feldkamp & Justin Eck; two brothers Frederick Feldkamp and Earl (Ellen) Feldkamp. He is also survived by close brother and sister-in-laws; Mary (Luther) Nagel, Carolyn (Glenn) Eschelbach and Margaret Marion. In addition to his parents and wife Elizabeth, he was preceded in death by one brother Eldean Feldkamp and two sisters, Betty Fiegel and Irene Schneider.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 2-8pm at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saline, MI. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 with visitation at 10am until time of service at 11 am at the church with Rev. Mark Smith officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan with envelopes available at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Nie Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
