Kaufman age 90 of Brown City died January 16, 2019 at home with her family around her. She was born May 19, 1928 in Brown City to Fred and Myrtle Davis. Doris graduated from Brown City High School Class of 1946.

She was united in marriage to Anthony Kaufman on May 13, 1961. Doris was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful baker and made many delicious things.

She enjoyed playing cards and keeping a vegetable garden. Her favorite thing was going to games to watch her grandchildren play. She is survived by six children: Joseph Kaufman, Richard Kaufman, Robert Kaufman, Charles (Wanda) Kaufman, Janet (Mark) Jurgess and Michael Kaufman, seven grandchildren; Ryan, Stephanie, Michael, Abigail, Brady, Morgan, Lindsey, three great grandchildren; Jaiden, Rylan and Sadie.

Also surviving are two sisters Norma Kohler, Eleanor Hastings and two brothers in laws Douglas Kaufman and Carl Simpson, and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Kaufman, two sisters Hazel McAllister and Helen Simpson and two brothers Fredrick Davis and Donald Davis. A visitation and viewing will be Friday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Carman Funeral Home and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to United Hospice of Marlette.
