Dr. Marvin Q. “Que” Sanner, MD, 91, formerly of Rockwood, PA and Alexandria, VA, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 in Harbour Senior Living, Monroeville. Born January 12, 1927 in Rockwood, he was a son of the late Ira and Emma V. (Schrock) Sanner. Que was a graduate of Rockwood High School, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Pittsburgh Medical School.

He and his late wife Mary moved to Alexandria, VA where Que began his own private practice in 1960. His practice was open for 32 years until his retirement in 1992.

Que enjoyed raising beef cattle on his farm in Gettysburg. He would work the private practice Monday through Wednesday, then he and Mary would drive to Gettysburg and farm their 162 acres of land. He loved hunting rattlesnakes and was a world traveler.

In addition to his parents, Que was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Julian) Sanner, who passed away on November 23, 1996; and eight brothers and sisters. Que is survived by his brother, Merle Sanner of Rockwood; nieces, Majorie A. O’Neil of Harrison City, Adele M. “Pinky” (John) Ameno of Washington Township; Rebecca (John) Thomas of Fort Myers, FL; nephew, James (Jenny) Kaufman of Rockwood; and many additional nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 429 Franklin Ave.

Vandergrift, on Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the Blessing Service at 4:00 p.m. with Father James Loew, OSB officiating. Private burial will take place alongside his wife in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
