Donald E. “Don” Anderson, 89, of Kiski Township passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in his home. Born on September 29, 1929 in Kiski Township he was a son of the late, Luther E. and Thurma M. (Schall) Anderson. Don lived in Kiski Township all of his life and was a graduate of Elders-Ridge High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving our country during the Korean War. Don retired from Apollo-Ridge School District where he had been employed in the maintenance department… Read More » for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time, and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Donald E. Anderson, Jr. and brother, Kenneth Anderson. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Twila V. (Snyder) Anderson of Kiski Township; son, Dean (Marilyn) Anderson of Rochester Mills; daughter, Brenda (Ralph) Thompson of Kiski Township 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 28th from 9-11 am in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave.

, Apollo, PA. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 11:00 am with Reverend Lea Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell where military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
