Clarence R. Frain, 87, of Apollo, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at QLS- West Haven Manor, Washington Township. Born November 13, 1931, he was a son of the late Lawrence Russell Frain, Sr. & Louella May (Bobberts) Frain. Clarence lived in the Apollo area all of his life, and proudly served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. “Margie” Frain, who passed away on August 24, 2015; and sisters, Mona G. Dunmire, & Bernice “Bernie” Bowser. He is survived by his stepchildren, Darlene M. (Rodger) Sanford of East Vandergrift, Kenneth D. (Brooke) Womeldorf of Chattanooga, TN, Pamela B. (Patty Stepp) Miller of Apollo, Edward L. Womeldorf of Apollo, Timothy R. (Beth Cummings) Womeldorf of Virginia, Debbie S. (James) Breisinger of Jefferson Hills, PA; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence R. (Marjorie Bash) Frain, Jr. of Apollo, George Frain of Leechburg, William “Red” Frain of Edmon, Robert “Lynn” (Claudia) Frain of Kiski Township, Larry Frain of Saltsburg, Don Frain of Kiski Township, Althea Blystone of Shady Plain, Ida Dolan of Apollo, Caroline Miller of North Apollo, Opal Clawson of Apollo, Yvonne Painter of Apollo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave.

, Apollo, on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo, with military honors accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family asks Memorial Contributions be made in Clarence’s memory to the Apollo-Ridge Food Bank, Inc., 1268 Old State Road, Apollo, PA 15613.
